our motto:
storytelling in the public interest
INPUT 2026 REGULATIONS
1) What is INPUT
INPUT is an annual international conference of public media professionals and creators who gather to screen programmes from around the world and to discuss opportunities, challenges, and innovations of storytelling in the public service environment.
INPUT is not a festival, market or competition and has no commercial interest.
The focus is on the thorough and professional exchange. For that reason, each programme selected to be screened at INPUT Bogota, 3 - 7 May 2026 has to be presented by a person closely connected to the production.
2) Who can submit
INPUT is open to public service media institutions from all over the world.
Essentially it is the INPUT National Coordinators who have the right to submit productions to the International Selection. They have to follow a country quota and therefore often organise a national pre-selection.
Media makers are asked to contact the INPUT National Coordinators in charge of their country of origin.
In countries where there is no National Coordinator get in touch with the INPUT Secretariat.
3) Eligibility
The productions submitted should not have been published before 1 July 2024.
Programmes made for theatrical release only, are not eligible.
4) What to submit
INPUT is looking for recent public service video and digital media productions and encourages the submission of ideas, shorter programmes, and content made by programme makers from diverse backgrounds. Submit programmes that are
out-of-the-box / provocative / courageous or breaking new ground.
For the International Selection for INPUT 2026 Bogotá submissions to the following 4 categories will be accepted:
Factual
Fiction
Regional TV
AI integrated
Public service media has always innovated responsibly, bridging creativity, technology, and social value. Introducing this “AI integrated” category for INPUT 2026 recognises that artificial intelligence is no longer just a back-end tool but a creative collaborator transforming how stories are discovered, produced, and shared. It invites broadcasters to explore AI-assisted scripting, automated editing, interactive engagement, and data-driven storytelling—while maintaining ethics and human judgment.
In essence, this category celebrates programmes that use AI as a creative partner, not a substitute—proving that technology can serve imagination, not replace it.
In addition to the country quota, each National Coordinators may submit
one programme - whatever category - that she/he thinks is
Just Perfect for INPUT.
Moderators will pay extra attention to these submissions during the selection process.
5) How to submit
From 18 November 2025 to 31 January 2026 the submission platform on www.input-tv.org will be open.

7) Screenings / Presentations at INPUT 2026 Bogota
From 3 to 7 May 2026 all selected productions will be presented to the Delegates who have registered for INPUT 2026.
Presentations will happen in sessions, always followed by discussions.
All sessions are presented by INPUT Moderators, who will get in touch with the submitters of the selected productions prior to the conference to explain the context in which a production will be presented and discussed.
All selected programmes will also be available for individual screening in the Video Library open to registered INPUT Delegates from 4 to 21 May 2026.
8) Personal Participation
The attendance of an INPUT conference is open to all interested media professionals. Main feature of the INPUT conference is the professional discussion, which follows each screening of a production.
For this reason, all productions screened at INPUT 2026 have to be accompanied by a key person involved with the programme like the director, author, commissioning editor or producer.
The conference fee to attend INPUT 2026 Bogota is 200 CHF (Swiss Francs) and allows delegates to attend all programme sessions and gives access to the video library.
For each selected production one Delegate can register free of charge. All travel and accommodation costs are to be borne by the submitter.
Please register for the INPUT Newsletter to make sure you receive all news.
9) After the INPUT Conference
INPUT will keep files of all productions screened during the conference for use in the INPUT Archive at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain.
