INPUT 2026 Conference will be hosted by an impressive consortium of 11 organisations

Transportation:
It is recommended to use authorised taxis, Uber, DíDi or Cabify.
Avoid public transport at night.
From El Dorado International Airport to the hotels the safest and most reliable way to travel is by official airport taxis, 20 - 40 minutes, between 50,000 and 60,000 COP.
There are authorised taxi service counters located inside the terminal.
From the INPUT 2026 Conference location Cinemateca de Bogotán to the Opening Ceremony at the Fundación Patrimonio Filmic Colombiano travel time is 15 - 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

Currency:
Local currency is the Colombian Peso (COP). 
Approx. exchange rate: 1 Euro= 4100 COP, 1 USD= 3500 COP
Use authorised exchange offices and ATM from authorised banks.
Paying in € or $ is not common.
Credit/debit cards are widely accepted in hotels and restaurants.

Weather:
Bogotá has a mild but unpredictable climate around the year.
Average temperature 12°C - 20°C (54°F - 68°F)
Expect sun, rain and cooler winds taking turn.
The screening rooms will have temperature around 15°C - 18°C (59°F - 64°F)
It is recommended to bring long pants, light sweaters, jackets (waterproof) or an umbrella. Comfortable walking shoes.

Restaurants & Dining hours:
There are many restaurants close to the INPUT location, an area called CityU. 
It is a safe environment and within walking distance.
Typical dining hours 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 pm, sometimes later during the weekend.

Safety recommendations given by our colleagues in Bogotá we want to pass on:
Do not take taxis from the street.
Carry a copy of your passport and keep the original in a safe place.
Take care of your personal belongings.
Do not use your phone while walking on the street.
Avoid displaying valuables.
Stay in well-lit, populated areas, especially at night.
