MINI INPUTS IN INDIA

 

For the first time, in Kolkata, a Mini INPUT for children was organized primarily for school students. With Bal Vividha (Children’s Film Society),  a 3 half day session between 26th and 28th of August 09 saw hundreds of school children enjoying the INPUT selected programmes dealing with children. It proved to be a grand success and it is hoped that we shall have a children’s Mini INPUT every year.

 

The Kolkata Mini INPUT was a 3 day event between 27th and 29th of November 09. It was at the Goethe Institut auditorium and as usual, there were interesting discussions after the screenings. What particularly of interested the audience was the three post screening sessions with the Directors using Skype. It ushered in a new era of nearness and Global connectivity.

 

Mini INPUT in Bangladesh

For the first time, a Mini iNPUT was organized in Dhaka in Bangladesh. On behalf of the Board, Abhijit Dasgupta welcomed Bangladesh to the INPUT family. The two day session on the 2nd and 3rd of December 09 was attended by

Mr. Werner Thal and his son Mauritz who participated as the script writer and actor respectively in “Angels Without Wings”. Being the first Mini INPUT in Bangladesh, the best of INPUT of the past 5 years were screened. Many eminent film makers, dramatists, script writers, littérateurs participated in the post screening discussions. It was inaugurated by Mr. Jamil Choudhury, the first Director General of television in the then East Pakistan. The Dhaka Best of INPUT was held at the Goethe Institute auditorium  and was organized by Mr Shameem Ahmed of Eshna Creative Unlimited.

 

Chennai mini INPUT

The Chennai Mini INPUT was at the new auditorium of the Asian College of Journalism. It was a two day event on the 5th and the 6th of December 09. The packed auditorium enjoyed and benefitted from the interaction with the Directors or Producers who were contacted after the screenings on Skype.

 

For the 2010 INPUT in Budapest, the Indian sub committee is working on the selection from over 100 entries received this yea
