How to organise a Mini-INPUT
Each and all programmes used at the INPUT International Conference are protected by copyrights and subjected to nationa land international laws applying to the matter.
Therefore, these programmes may not be used outside the International Conference without the permission of the rights’ owners.
INPUT proposes an agreement with the programme’s owners that it can be used within definite and strict conditions forthe purpose of a Mini-INPUT:
1. Strictly no commercial use. That includes of course broadcastingand/or charging a fee to see the programme;
2. The programme will be screened in a specific context: professional training;
3. The programme right’s owner will be contacted by the Mini-INPUT organisers, made aware of the use of his programme and the context and his permission granted for that purpose and specific context. The programme rights’ owner can refuse that permission.
INPUT also requires that:
1. A representative of INPUT - your National Coordinator or a member of the Board of INPUT – will attend your Mini-INPUT;
2. INPUT be made aware of your organisation of a Mini-INPUT through your National Coordinator and INPUT’s Secretariat;
3. You will provide information about the dates and place of your Mini-INPUT and a final report about your activity.
How to get the programmes?
Where are you located?
INPUT has seven locations (International Hubs) and contacts in the world where you can get the programmes presented at the last International Conference for your Mini-INPUT - or the last three conferences for Best of INPUT events.
1. Provide the list of programmes you want to present at your Mini-INPUT to the contact person of your region listed at the International Hubs;
2. The contact person of your region will confirm whether the programmes requested are on the list of those made available;
Then send you a DVD copy of the programmes with conditions mentioned below;
3. Please send back the DVD’s to the contact person after your Mini-INPUT.
Conditions
Some fees apply.
The copying and shipping of DVD’s are at your cost.
Those are minimal but insure that the process is not a burden for the person who send you the programme and their organisation or company.
The most efficient way is:
a) To get in touch with the region’s contact and provide your list;
b) after verifying the availability of the programmes, confirm with the contact the cost of copying and shipping;
c) provide your courier’s number or make an arrangement for the payment of shipping and copying, according to the contact’s administrative conditions.
No copies of the programmes can be made and/or used before, during or after other than the Mini-INPUT use.
This is illegal and infringe all the owners’ rights. In organising a Mini-INPUT and handling the programmes, you bear that responsibility and its consequences. The purpose of Mini-INPUTs is for professional training only.
Programmes can not be shown to a regular audience and/or with a paying-fee attendance.
Not all programmes of the International Conference are free for use in a Mini-INPUT. Some rights’ owners don’t accept the principle.
The consequences are:
1. INPUT has a list of the rights’ owners who accept the principleof their programme being used for professional training purposesin the context of a Mini-INPUT;
2. Some programmes shown at the International Conference may not have the permission to be used. If you do wish to select such programmes, you must contact the rights owners directly. They may ask for a fee or make it free; this negotiationis between you and the rights holders;
3. The agreement between INPUT and the rights owners does NOT free the Mini-INPUT organisers to use the programme without letting them know. Think about it this way: how would you like to learn that your programme (your time, your efforts, your money!) is being used without your knowing?
4. Please provide all the infos for the INPUT’s website. This not only supports your marketing for the Mini-INPUT, but also helps INPUT to build up and maintain a trust relationship with programme makers from across the world.
