Shopsteward: Karen Michael
Time & Date:

The economic crisis has and continues to shake the world. Some expected it, but many TV viewers did not have a clue about how economics work. Did public broadcasters fail in its educational mission?

If so, why? Is the subject attractive enough, or do we fear economics will not get high audience ratings? Is it too challenging regarding creativity and how can we make difficult subjects more appealing to a wide audience?
It is high time we focus on this issue and this session shows that we can make talk about difficult topics by
showing new magazines, funny shows, strong investigations and good documentaries.
