13: Entering an Obsessed Mind - New Ultra-focused thriller stories

Shopsteward: Liselott Forsman
Time & Date: 09:30,  10 May 2010
Room: Blue Room

Session Description
Three dramas in three genres, mix a personal touch with very effective storytelling.  As viewers we are forced to dive into the head of more or less obsessed and violent people. How can we escape their point of view? Should we? What happens to the other characters and the storytelling? What kind of stories long for a narrator? What special problems does a narrator bring to a thriller, a comedy and a crime story?

Fiction is always a personal quest but how personal can it really get? Should we get along with the macho gourmet murderer and pitty the rapist? It is the responsibility of public service broadcasters to create an understanding of flaws in our society. To understand the complexities of men and women in modern society means making programmes in new and sometimes risky ways. Without risks there is no art. In these productions the broadcasters have agreed to finance programmes that are something completely different than the mainstream big volume rating minded drama.
