11. Programming TV-Events: Constraints of Schedule and Audience Expectation
Shopsteward: Jouko Salokorpi
Time & Date: 11:30, 10 May 2010
Room: Green Room
Session Description
Broadcasting seven and half hours nonstop, or 24 hours! This requires some bravery in scheduling, but then the result is A TV EVENT!
What else is required? An idea, someone to accept it, a bullet-proof plan of how to do it, some editing, a good web dimension, and then you just push the broadcast button.
But do public service broadcasters have to do these TV-events to be remembered and to survive? Is it more important to broadcasters or to our audience?
